I think that would be very presumptuous of me to do, since I have not had one vote yet in the Democratic primaries, ... I can tell you flat-out that I did not ask him to be my running mate.

We're certainly not taking the Hispanic vote for granted.

There's not one person in this crowd who's gonna agree with everything I say. Not one.

I'll stand up for what I believe in whether it's popular or not, and I think that is lacking in this country. What you're seeing now, not only on the part of President Bush but on the part of the Democrats as well, is they'll promise you a tax cut and health insurance and lower college tuition and fully funded special education. Look, you can't do that. You couldn't do that in your house. You can't spend money on stuff you don't have.

We need to go everywhere. There is not one county in this state, I don't care how far west you go, that doesn't have Democrats. We have to be proud of who we are.

The point is that we are not at a place yet where we can say one way or the other.
