I think there is more of an awareness of the need for a state university to do fundraising. The state is sort of maintaining the basics, but not too much beyond that.

Often times for very large gifts, there (are) naming rights attached.

This year has been our vice president's first full year on the job, and I think we've done some pretty good things.

Generally speaking, we definitely have more very large gifts coming in, and we have more people giving.

The goal is to basically have anyone operating a university vehicle to have ... the appropriate training so they can operate the vehicle safely. Our goal is to have a no-accident history here and make all travel as safe as possible.

My wife (Barbara) understood. My daughter also is a Kent State graduate, but she now works at Ohio University... She keeps her blue and gold beads in her office desk drawer.
