Americans are clearly worried about the future course there [in Iraq], but at the same time I just don't think most are ready to throw in the towel at this point.

At a minimum, the Department of Energy needs to clarify the way in which it plans to handle future supply disruptions so that the states can minimize the confusion that leads to higher gas prices.

Forget the past- the future will give you plenty to worry about

Without a determined constituency pressuring for engagement in international affairs, it would be likely that — given the difficulties in Iraq — you would have had the administration hunkering down a bit, and the American people with them. But instead, you have these substantial forces pushing on human rights causes and demanding intervention.
