I think we could do better, but I think we did good. We had a lot of really good help. I feel really gratified that we did make our goal and it certainly wasn't because of me.

I know for a fact they couldn't fully fund all of the programs. They had to cut back in some areas. The more that's raised, the more that they can fund those programs. That's what it's all about - neighbors helping neighbors.

I think they should reach a little higher next year.

Williamson County has great youth programs. They have all these facilities and coaches to help develop these kids into athletes. There are so much more opportunities to get better.

Love isn't absence of pain. It's a hand to hold while you're going through it.

The creative process is not like a situation where you get struck by a single lightning bolt. You have ongoing discoveries, and there's ongoing creative revelations. Yes, it's really helpful to be marching toward a specific destination, but, along the way, you must allow yourself room for your ideas to blossom, take root, and grow.
