I think we had a great season. We won a third straight league title and we had a good record against a schedule that was as difficult as any we've ever had. And we played with an X across our chest. We were the big game on everyone's schedule.

I always say that Ian Moser came off the mat after he won his third straight state title the same way he came off after winning the first match of his career. There was no fist pumping or raising his index finger to let everybody know he was No. 1. He was all business.

I was playing little league baseball when Bruce Jenner was winning the gold but I don't think I was really paying attention at that time.

We felt if we had beaten UCLA, we would have won this thing (the regular-season title). So it's probably fitting that we're playing. I just hope we get our legs back.

We knew were walking into an incredibly tough situation. They're such a good team. They'd won 31 in a row at home.

We just had a lot of good athletes at the time. We won league in just about everything. It was one of those time periods where top to bottom, senior class to sophomore, there were a lot of good athletes.
