I think we were all surprised at the strong response and great turnout we got to last year's 'Region Idol' (contest).

They were very surprised, and I think they were a little overwhelmed by the response. They seemed to be humble, down-to-earth folks. They were ever so thankful, couldn't thank us enough. You felt like you did the right thing for the right folks.

We've had an amazing response. You'll see an increase in Hispanic voter turnout.

Had there been an even larger turnout, she'd have won by much more. It's wonderful. She's from a very strong political family. I've been honored to work with her.

We're hoping for a really strong turnout. The posters are done and up around town, so I'm hopeful that we can get a lot of people out for this.
