I think [Wednesday] was as close to a must-win game as you can get. But [Thursday]? You can definitely apply some pressure when you're one win away.

I think if we could have kept the game close, we'd have had a shot because we were having good at-bats. We thought we'd be a little farther along. The good news is there are a lot of games ahead.

We need to win one more game to qualify but it is great for our mindset. It is definitely a statement.

It's an improbable win if you look at where we were Wednesday.

We're leaving on Wednesday, so that gives us all day Thursday to go to practice and sit around. By the time Friday rolls around, (the trip) shouldn't have much of an effect.

This happened every year I've coached in this game. By Thursday or Friday they get a little cranky and stuff happens.
