I thought it was really critical to come out and set the tone with the bats. In games like this it comes down to key plays, key hits, key mistakes and we were fortunate to capitalize in a situation like this.

Discipline at the plate is crucial to being a good hitter. We made good adjustments as hitters this weekend.

She is very sound, very controlled in the box. She has good strength, good power. She has a good eye for the ball. She's a very disciplined hitter at a young age.

We knew she had good pitching potential and movement, and yet she has really taken on and become a better defensive player. She's got herself in better physical condition. She's taking command when she's in the circle, and that's a big step for her as a sophomore.

No question, both of them are key players this year, and hopefully they'll continue to progress and contribute to our program.

All the big players did big things. That's what make these games so great.
