I thought our guys wrestled really well today. Alex and Nick wrestled very well. Alfred was a little disappointed he didn't win, but he wrestled well. He can wrestle better yet.

Being the returning state runner-up immediately put a target on Alex. I knew he had pressure on him to win it this year, but I don't think I realized how great that pressure was until after he won it, when he was talking about how it felt. I think he handled that pressure pretty well.

When we've been really good here, we've had guys that have been that way. You go back to when Alfred (Fincher) was here.

I was very disappointed the other day, ... I want to get out there even more. I'm tired of watching everybody play and have fun.

We started off well. Our light guys came out of the chute hard and we just wrestled well as a team.

I never dreamed that it would be like this. We're very disappointed in the fact that we had the guys here to do it and to get off to the start we did is very frustrating. We've gone downhill since then. But hopefully we're back on the right track and we can move forward.
