I thought the girls played well tonight. We didn't handle the pressure as well as I would have liked, but they played well.

Mount Vernon started to come back a little bit there. But I think our girls did a good job keeping composure, that's something we have struggled with this season. Then we made our free throws down the stretch when we had to have them.

I thought the first half defense was very good. I wish we could have scored some points there to get a lead. We missed our first 10 shots to start the game, we had good shots that we have to be able to make. We didn't make them and kept them in the game.

I told the girls before the game that starting off strong could be a key. I thought Mexico had a little advantage having won in this sectional last year and having all of their starters back.

I thought our effort was definitely there. Our girls worked very hard. This is always an emotional game.

I think inside we match up well with them. Our guards are smaller and younger and they will press us because of that and I expect that. We need to get a walk-through in tomorrow on how to break the press. But I like our chances, I think we will create some match up problems for them.
