I thought we had a good chance to win, but I am surprised by the final score. A lot of our wrestlers had a good night, and we able to finish matches at the end.

Once we settled down, I thought we had a chance. But when we were down nine points a few times with a chance to cut it to a five or seven point lead, we couldn't hit from the line. This is our first conference loss, and we have them down at our place in February, so all hope isn't lost.

A lot of this sport is about momentum. Sometimes with these young kids they'll let the match in front of them affect them and that's what happened today. That ball got rolling against us.

We knew who we had coming up, and Santa Monica isn't as good as they were last year. So we didn't panic or anything. We just stuck to the game plan.

They all know how to put the ball in the net. If they get a chance, I think we'll be fine. We just have to get the ball in that area. I'm pretty confident we'll do well with the people we have.
