He got away because he stabbed the brakes then took off. He's a great racer, but second is just first loser.

Pit road was tight all day. On one of our first stops, we were blocked in by the No. 10 and lost some track position. It was something we had to work around throughout the race. We're all thankful that John wasn't hurt during the stop and the fact that he even went back over the wall proves how dedicated and tough he and the others on our team are.

I'm sorry for losing my temper following the race, but after a day or two of looking back at the race it's easy to realize that it's just not that big of a deal compared with what the people of the Gulf Coast are still going through.

The Baja is a survival race, and there is no break, but you're not up on the wheel all day in the Baja like you are in Winston Cup or at Indy.
