I told our girls that defense wins championships. If we could lock them down in the half-court set and make some free throws, I knew we'd be fine.

They are very aggressive on defense. We'll have to take very good care of the basketball.

Our girls played with courage and determination to fight back from a first half deficit. They played a tenacious defense, but came up a couple of points short.

Our goal all year long has been not to give up any double-digit quarters. We've had momentary lapses when we go to sleep or when teams are shooting well. Hopefully, we'll limit those from here on out (in the playoffs).

We've been a little stagnant in our half-court offense lately. We have to get better there.

The first half everything was going good. The girls were playing good defense and our offense was there and we were utilizing Megan (Riley, center).
