I like to maintain a certain sense of fantasy in my life. I am kind of like that at home. Do I have the full hair and makeup? No. But I might have the nice dress on.

But the more negative stuff there is, you try to block it out, but you still feel it. Whether you hear it or not, you still feel the negativity.

I haven’t had writer’s block. I think it’s because my process involves writing very badly.

You have to resist the urge to think that way. It's hard to do, block that stuff out, but it's something we have to do.
