I voted for the Defense of Marriage Act but I do not believe we should institutionalize a form of discrimination against any minority by amending the Constitution.

Although I consider myself a tolerant person, I believe the traditional union of marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Naturally, there exist concerns about what activist courts might do to undermine these rights and the Defense of Marriage Act, ... But it is premature to amend the Constitution based upon a hypothetical scenario.
