I want to see what we can do when somebody challenges us, and I believe Beyer (the defending Modesto Metro Conference champion) will give us everything we can handle and more,

It will give us a taste of some of the top teams in the (Sac-Joaquin Section). We're looking forward to the challenge.

Wow, what a great day for us. I know that each of these girls is capable of a performance like that, but to put it all together in one round is really exciting. Unfortunately, we still have one round to play so we need to re-focus and start looking at tomorrow.

I was really pleased with our effort today, especially on the last four holes. Everyone stepped up at different times for us, but our work has just begun. We will work tonight on getting as fresh as we can for tomorrow and see what happens from there.

We had Katie (Ferguson) throw a lot before the game today because she needs a lot of warm-up, so I think she was getting tired in the middle of the sixth inning. It was a tough situation to bring Kate (Brown) into, but we got out of it.

We were very pleasantly surprised.
