I was about 10 yards from the explosion, trying to move people back. I took shrapnel in my left shoulder and my left leg.

It's not the past that counts; it's about where do we go from here. I look forward to many more years here at Central.

Until students came back [from break] the investigation was at a standstill.

I chased him in the woods for over an hour. He fired several shots, none of which ever hit me. We did manage to catch him later on.

Just being selected to attend was wonderful.

If people stay away from the big ones, we hope it will do something. We're trying to get the word out, that's all we can do.
