I was excited to get Division 1 offers from the military academies, Tulsa, Arkansas State and Louisiana Monroe. I was content with playing on that level. Then, this weekend was just more icing on the cake. Miami called and that was a great experience.

I really like what Louisiana-Monroe is doing. They've assembled a really good staff. They've kind of had their hands in different areas.

It's a ways from home, but Miami has one of the top-ranked football and baseball programs in America. When they offered, I jumped at the opportunity to be part of that tradition.

Miami is so much bigger, the opportunity is so much bigger and the level they're on is so much higher. I was excited to get a Division I offer, then this came along. It's icing on the cake.

Now, it receives the recognition it deserves from the state of Arkansas.

We're representing a lot of groups. We're representing all the underdogs. We're representing the state of Arkansas. We're representing the Sun Belt Conference. We're representing a lot of frustrated fans for the last 30 years or so that haven't been to a bowl game.
