I was extremely pleased with our scores today and the boys should be proud of how well they played. If we can continue to improve our short game, we will be right in the middle of the pack competing for a tournament spot.

What a great start to the season. We fell a little short of our goal of 330, but the boys played real well in tough conditions and shot our best score in three years.

The boys have expectations for (Wednesday). They want to finish in the top six. And that's great. I'm not sure if it's realistic this early, but if we can shoot 330, we'll be great. That's the boys' goal. That's where they want to be at.

I was extremely impressed with all the players today. Juliano and Travis were outstanding for the boys and Ashley played a terrific match for the girls.

As Norm Smith says: 'you'll win the game by controlling the midfield' and that's what our boys did today. Our biggest emphasis was putting our body on the line and controlling the ball across the centre Ð that's how we won.

Despite coming up short today, it sounds like the boys have had an amazing week.
