I was gifted with a life that was full of adventure. I've always believed, if you're gifted, that it's incumbent not to think about giving something back.

Looking back, I guess I've lived an unusual life.

If you can just get in the playoffs and get by a match or two, I think you start to realize your district was so tough it prepared you well. The problem is in the first match or two of the playoffs. You can be beaten up and shell-shocked from such a tough district.

I think that if you start teaching about giving back and helping other people young, that will be a given for your child their whole life.

We've been treating this like a playoff team. I was pleased with the way we finished the season. I think we have some momentum. I just hope we can get by on Friday.
