I was having fun. Snowboarding is fun. I was feeling great that I was ahead. I wanted to share with the crowd my enthusiasm. I messed up, and oh well, it happens.

The silver medal ... is still a silver medal. The USA is on the podium anyway.

I was just trying to stabilize my board.

There is a real science to this. When we have jumps, we try to get on the ground as quickly as possible. You've got to remember, you're faster on the snow than you are in the air.
