I was impressed with her intensity. Many athletes soften physically and mentally and lose confidence after a major injury, but she was back to form. She challenged herself and kept pressure on herself to do well.

The athletes are up for the challenge. They're focused and I think our confidence is riding high. With two weeks before conference I think they really want to put up a good showing. This will be a very good test for us to see where we are mentally. If we can go out and execute as well as we have this year I think we'll be happy with the results.

Waving the flag at the 1976 Olympics wasn't my idea. It was too much apple pie and ice cream. Not that I don't love my country, but I felt it was my victory up there, I put all the time into it.

Our stories are very similar. I think a lot more athletes would come out of Florida if they had football in the junior colleges.

I think the men will run even better at the Dartmouth Invitational ... especially if it's cool out.

The women will be meeting many of the best teams in the country, so we will need our shoes to be laced up pretty tight.
