I was lucky. I spent almost 12 years in Portland and came to Houston for the last 3 1/2 years, which was a nice. But when you can spend your hold career with one team, that's a blessing.

Steve has been a very good player for a long time and it has to be tough on him not being in this game. He flies under the radar, and if you ask anybody who plays against Steve they will tell you that he's darned good.

As a young guy, he probably said and did some things that were perceived as being selfish, but he's a winner. All he's ever tried to do is play hard and maximize his talent on the court. He's a basketball junkie and when a guy is that talented you've got to love him.

He's got a nice handle. Some of the point guards in the NBA could take a few notes from him.

I hated to see that. He should have played his whole career here.

That's probably going to be a good scenario, another good feeling. I played against him when I was in Houston and kind of took him out. I'm looking to take him out again.
