I was playing for overtime because I believe in our kicking game and I believe in our defense. It's a huge moment in the season, it really is. I never thought about losing this game.

We're very evenly-matched with Bethel, as far as our defense going up against their offense and the other way around. It's probably going to come down to which offense is able to score.

They have a new defensive scheme they're running. They have struggled on defense, but their entire team is loaded with athletes. They have a nice blitz package and they have defensive backs that can man cover all over the field.

I'm happy with the split. It's kind of like thunder and lightning back there.

It's huge for Saint Mary. He's not the only (local player) we've recruited, but he's the first one we've really gone out there and signed. I think he's a special player.

I thought we did pretty well throughout the game. Those (big plays) are going to happen some times. We run a high-risk, high-reward defense.
