I was so pleased to be a part of such a great dynasty. But when you do things the right way, you'll be successful.

I got a little girl, she's 4-years-old. Ten years from now, when she asks me about the Chicago Bears, I'll tell her about a championship, and I'll tell her about great teams, and great teammates and great coaches. But the first thing I'll tell her about is Walter Payton.

I wasn't pleased by it. But, I'd be more upset if I were Lincoln. That just wasn't a good ad, not something to run in Fort Wayne.

All that success would not be possible without Walter Payton, because he was the foundation that we were built on.

The one thing that came back to me was how lucky I was to be standing there on that stage and it's all because of the benevolence of others and the great gifts and traits they helped me with and instructed me with all through my life. I could not be there without the coaches, the mentors, without the teammates I was able to play with all those years.

You can't make that stuff up. It just happened.
