I was surprised I had so much time behind the net, and Mueller was yelling (for the puck) at the top of his lungs. Two guys went toward him and I just walked out front and backhanded it in.

I don't think Stevens knew I was behind him. I was surprised how easy the puck came out when I hit his stick. I looked over and saw Briggs wasn't looking, so I just threw a shot at the net.

They have a lot of superstars and they can put the puck in the net and create a lot of scoring chances. But Nabokov and our defense kept holding, kept holding, and we finally got a chance on the power play.

There were times we could have put on the puck on the net a little bit more, but we were looking for the perfect play.

I was surprised to get that rebound. I think I was behind the net, but my stick was in front. I got the lucky bounce and was able to squeeze it in. I don't think I saw any room there. I thought there might be, so I just tried to stick it right inside the post.
