I was thrilled that the school system would choose to honor her in this way. She was the embodiment of Dr. King's legacy. She was all about her children and family — and if they can continue to follow her example, they'll be very successful in their lives.

The volunteer of the year is more of an in-house honor where we recognize the person who has helped the chamber with their program of work throughout the year. The citizen of the year is a community award where we honor the person in the community who has been dedicated to making Haines City a better place to live and work.

There's an 'honor table' with a box of CDs and a money jar. They cost me $2 each to make, but a lot of people are paying $20. They say, 'There's no way to pay you more for your music,' so it opens the door for people who want to balance how much value they get from the songs.

Caroline is a voracious reader. She loves to read. If I was going to make a movie, I'd ask Caroline to read it first.

There could not be a better recipient for this award.

And so much honesty. People go to school for years and years to get that kind of honesty.
