I wish I had better insight to realize the financial strain he was under. He really wanted to help his family, and that was the entire purpose of why he did what he did. ... But he learned that sometimes you end up hurting the people you love when you try to do too much.

It's something that I think we can do to set aside to help farmers a wee bit in the challenges that they're facing right now,

That was what the farmers thought the state could do that would help them the most, ... It seemed reasonable to me.

We didn't play bad, ... But we sure didn't do a lot to help ourselves.

With the busy holiday season underway, we wanted to make it easy for folks to donate their vehicles to help at-risk youth with a second chance for an education. We have found that many caring citizens will donate their vehicles at year's end if the process is convenient. During this time last year, more than 5,000 vehicles were donated.

Spontaneously, we decided to help her, which was outside the scope of what we normally do. We give scholarships or help people who had a fire, or need an operation. And we kind of stuck with her.
