For too long, we've allowed our facilities to operate without checks and balances. We just assume a state or county facility is going to be appropriately run. What we've learned in recent years is that we need to pay close attention.

There is a certain amount of coercion that is implied. My general reaction is (this is) a disturbing trend that I was not aware of.

This is about giving consumers better information so they can make better choices for themselves.
