I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't two times that. It just shows the compassion of the people here to folks they don't even know in another part of the country.

What we learned post-9/11 is that people get tapped out on these huge emotional responses, ... That is a real issue because all of us have limited budgets.

We'll stay open. People need to have a place to go.

I'm not telling people not to give to Katrina, because God knows they need it, ... But we're going to be asking them to help our needs locally. We are always going to have a segment of our population that's going to need our help.

I have little compassion for people in trailer parks who refuse to
move after getting tornado warnings. How hard is it for them to
relocate? Their house have wheels.

I have come to a greater compassion for people who suffer. Why is this happening? I just want to put the question out there so people will have more compassion.
