I've always been just kind of consumed by my own thoughts.

I always loved the verve and vivacity of pulp and I kind of merged it with my own interest in family stories.

I just want to be on my own branch twittering.

I just wanna hear my own voice.

I just want to create my own history.

But that is a valid, continuing service that that music - which is, in some cases, 80 or 90 years old - is rendering. And proving its own timelessness.
