I'd like to see us moving ahead with those things that protect the people of this country, rather than protect Jim Greenwood.

It would be reprehensible to us if they went back to being an all-white board. We understand that people are going to take issue with us pushing diversity but are those other 25 seats (on the board of commissioners) guaranteed to whites?

This event should remind us all of the distance we, as a people and country, have come towards realizing a major element in our post-conflict transformation.

The people who own the country ought to govern it

It's a friendly earthquake. It's a very good reminder to people in this region that we live in earthquake country. Some of the world's biggest earthquakes have occurred here.

It's nice to have a lot of people in the field. Independent, third party, Libertarian, Reform and other party candidates can do what they want to do. I welcome them to the race.
