What we're looking for and what I think to some extent we're getting is both much stronger commitments from the G-8 countries as to how they will implement their obligations ... and then to make sure that they are not the only contributors here,

I don't think any progress has been made on that front.

Many of our independent agents perceived us as lagging behind other insurance companies in technology. There is a lot of competition, especially in commercial lines, from national carriers that have bigger technology budgets than we do, which could potentially result in adverse selection by our agents.

It's a first step in the right direction for Old Mutual.

We're looking at this as a business transformation. The goal is to align the business across the company to gain a consistent view of our customers and have the ability to support future initiatives like new products.
