If anything, you're further separating the entities. We know that a lot of law-enforcement officials believe it would be better instead to bring them together.

Any time a person intentionally strikes a law enforcement officer we take it very seriously. It's a felony. It's a very brazen act. It's not tolerated.

For many persons, law appears to be black magic--an obscure domain that can be fathomed only by the professional initiated into the mysteries.

They never had a prayer of winning. They violated the law.

These are challenging times at home and around the world. We will have to work together in a bipartisan spirit and with our international partners if we are going to achieve progress and peace now and for future generations.
