If I had a 42 or better in there somewhere, instead of having to count a 46, we would have won. That would have been nice for me personally, too, because Benet is the one school in our conference I have never beaten since I have been coach (17 years).

Right now, consistency is our problem. I know our kids have the skill to score well, but they just have to put it all together in the meets.

Instead of expecting someone from somewhere to spearhead or bring about a change that we desire, it is much more practical to begin to something personally.

If they want to sign someone else instead of Larry and release him, he'll end up playing somewhere else. Players have only so many options.

He was somewhere else tonight. I don't how else to explain it. He turned it over, couldn't make a shot.

He's just a model for everybody to emulate, whether it be first-pitch strikes, getting ahead in the count consistently [or] quality of location. And he's averaging eight to 10 pitches an inning. He makes his put-away pitch. I'm sure he feels very good about where he is right now.
