If I was going to go out there, I was going to go full bore.

I'm a real bore.

Weights bore me.

We did some soul-searching. Was the cable industry obsolete? Was it an opportune time to get out? Our conclusion was that if you rebuilt your system with this new fiber-optic coaxial hybrid - which we now call broadband - the glass was half full, not half empty. We could compete.

They [conservatives] thought they were going to get somebody who would just be full-bore, unadulterated, hard-charging conservative. And this group, they are really sore [upset], they feel disillusioned, they feel despondent and some of them are livid. Now the question is, do they get over this or not?

I like to go full bore into something. If you have a backup plan, then you've already admitted defeat.
