If I were king instead of a School Board member. There are a lot of things I would change.

The rules don't change. We follow the same policies that we've had in place throughout the school year.

My mom said I could not go to V-State. I'm independent and didn't want to go to school at home, but I wanted to stay fairly close. I have a lot of family in North Carolina and have always liked it here.

Getting money from Congress for something like this is probably easier than the cultural change that has to take place in the federal workforce for employees to buy into the whole system.

We know that kids with quality early learning opportunities are more likely to graduate from high school, more likely to graduate from college, and more likely to earn higher income. And we know for every one dollar we invest in early education, we save seven dollars down the line in welfare, special education, and criminal justice costs. Our children deserve the chance for an early start on success.

Absolutely it was busy. A lot of the guests we anticipated were people we saw from hotel rooms up at the lodge, where they had a complete renovation as well.
