If that fish would have just eaten one big dolphin before I caught him, I would have held an all-tackle record, at least for a while.

We were hustling to try to get the fish in because the area was loaded with big sharks, and it was one heck of a fight trying to horse that monster.

It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime deals. The fish were really turned on. I'd guess I caught fish on about half of my casts. For some reason they were really feeding. I had my limit (then five) in no time. There are a lot nights where you don't catch any fish, or very few. That one was really special.

I've caught fish as big as I am. I've caught marlin close to 300 pounds.
