If that happened, we certainly didn't feel it. We felt a lot of energy. People make assumptions about party, but a mayor's race is different. It's above party. It's about personality.

People have got to understand all the fundamental things in the way. There were many obstacles.

The reality is, when the incumbent has 60 percent job approval and the 'are-we-going-in-the-right-direction' numbers are in the 70's and he outspends his opponent more than 10-to-1, that person is likely to win. I don't know that we've moved beyond ethnic politics, but it's fair to say it's only piece of a larger picture.

He's going to have a smile on his face and have a bundle of energy whether he's 5-for-5 or 0-for-5 as long as we win the game.

I think the biggest thing his freshman year was the maturity. He played with a lot of energy and didn't always know what to do with that. He had to figure out how to play the game without getting himself in trouble.

The modern artist…is working and expressing an inner world – in other words – expressing the energy, the motion, and other inner forces.
