If the average is $120 for an office visit, for example, we know that we have to negotiate a better rate if a provider is charging $300.

For example, the public defender's office, we're going to spend millions of dollars on a public defender that the State of Georgia should be paying for.

An office visit will cost whatever the insurance dictates. If the insurance dictates a co-pay then that is what they can expect to pay.

Many of these places that we visit on this trip are hallowed ground; they are sacred spots. I never call this a tour because a tour implies that we drop you off and pick you up. This is a journey; it's really a journey of the soul.

I think this is mostly a workmanlike visit, where there are not going to be great achievements.

If I stop having deep feelings or any emotions related to the tragedies the coroner's
office deals with, that's a prime indicator that I need to reevaluate priorities and
think about stopping, ... I'm not there yet.
