If we ever let it go, it's gone.

We had gone too far to let it slip away. I wanted that point so bad.

For a young kid, who has gone through and conquered what he has, to read something like that, it's amazing. This is a business and there are a lot of times you have to fight through adversity, but I really believe I do care for the game in a special way. I hope every kid sees that in me.

Other than not making the playoffs, things couldn't have gone any better. To go through the struggles we did in the first half and being able to persevere and come back and be in the mix and taking that thing all the way down to the wire was great.

I'm all for making it nicer. But I disagree with how they've gone about it.

From the perspective of my own conscience, morally this is the right thing to do. We need to let the state employees know that we (in the Legislature) are tightening our own belts, too.
