If you are lonely when you are alone, you are in poor company.

Once you connect with yourself, it is impossible to be lonely or desperate.

Loneliness is really a wonderful companion that can show us so much about ourselves and others.

We create in people through our actions and example. In this way people around us become reflections of our own behavioral patterns and internal energies

Shrinking in a corner,
pressed into the wall;
do they know I'm present,
am I here at all?

Is there a written rule book,
that tells you how to be—
all the right things to talk about—
that everyone has but me?

Slowly I am withering—
a flowered deprived of sun;
longing to belong to—
somewhere or someone.

When the chips are down, you are alone, and loneliness can be terrifying. Fortunately, I've always had a chum I could call. And I love to be alone. It doesn't bother me one bit. I’m my own company.
