If you are not ready and anticipate what's coming, you fall behind a little. I think I picked up a lot later than what they liked and what I liked last year. I started to get comfortable at the end of last year. Coming into this year, I felt really confident.

Oh yeah, there have been some pretty bad places. I expected that.

I've been talking with that particular section for some time and wanted to do something to be remembered and have fun. ... I told them, if we win on Senior Night and after I slap everyone's hand when the game is over, I would jump in. After the game they were all waving me over, so I ran over and jumped up. They started bringing me up, and I got so high. I was like, 'Bring me back down.' I enjoyed it.

People have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome. It's amazing.

I think my mom (Kathy Nguyen) enjoyed it more than I did. It felt so good to know I gave something for my mom and grandmother to be proud of, because growing up I gave them such a hard time. It was great to do something to make them happy, for them to tell their friends. Anything I can do to put a smile on mom's face, I love to do.

Every time I would walk in, I'd make sure my name was there. I still do to this day. I knew whether I came off the bench or started, I would do everything I could.
