If you listen to all my music, it would say that I'm in a transitional state. It's really going in a different direction right now. The subject matter of the songs is more mature.

It's kind of a metaphor for growing up in Vegas. Vegas is like the red light district more so than other cities, and I couldn't think of a better name.

People are talking about immigration, emigration and the rest of the fucking thing. It's all fucking crap. We're all human beings, we're all mammals, we're all rocks, plants, rivers. Fucking borders are just such a pain in the fucking arse.

(The flute is) an instrument that doesn't lend itself very readily to rock music. It's a gentle and sensitive instrument. To make it work at rock 'n roll levels, you really have to push it pretty hard.

Basically we just created our own label, but again we just did it to document our own music and create our own thing, so the major labels were just always out of our picture, we're not interested.

We decided our top floor should be a place where you could get away from the loud music, meet new people, hang out and talk.
