If you perform and get out, you're sitting pretty well. The odds of ending up on the podium at the state meet have gone way up.

Every match is big down here, but if you win your quarterfinal, you're guaranteed a spot on the podium. We've been in a lot of tournaments and a lot of quarterfinals, so we've just got to treat it like another quarterfinal.

We were joking around. I told Brent he's not going to win more (titles) than me. But he pointed out that he made it to state more times than me (three to two) ... so he's got me there.

You see that in a lot of practice rooms. Guys who practice together have success together. They battle and push each other and make each other better.

We felt pretty good about ending with Luke at 103. He's a tough guy, he's a tough wrestler and that's the way to cap off the win.

We didn't have a storybook ending in mind, but this is pretty close.
