If you want to improve your self-worth, stop giving other people the calculator.

When the world does its level best to devalue me in ways that are nothing short of brutal, all it does is evidence my value. For why would it expend such massive amounts of energy attempting to destroy something that’s not there?

As long as you look for someone else to validate who you are by seeking their approval, you are setting yourself up for disaster. You have to be whole and complete in yourself. No one can give you that. You have to know who you are - what others say is irrelevant.

Don’t get between people and their bling, especially if that is their only source of self-esteem.

Believe in yourself up here and it will make you stronger than you could ever imagine.

If what you are is more important to you, than what you do, it is better to do nothing and have your sense of self+worth intact than do something and take a beating on your self+worth and self+esteem.
