If you're selling a couple of thousand gallons a week, a penny (overcharge) on a gallon of gas becomes real money pretty fast.

If the high-grade gas commands 20 cents more per gallon, ... he can pocket $200 for selling 1,000 gallons of regular at the higher price.

That's a good run. It takes 50 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup.

When gas prices go up 5 cents a gallon, that's maybe an extra $10 a week out of consumers' pockets. But when they're going up 15 cents and more, it means $20 extra a week.

There's no way I would fill up our cars with gas once a week any more. We're not using a full tank of gas even once a month.

It's a gas hog. I get about eight miles to the gallon.
