Ignorance is the failure to discriminate between the permanent and the impermanent, the pure and the impure, bliss and suffering, the Self and the non-Self.

The cause of suffering is that the unbounded Self is overshadowed by the world.

It takes a while to grasp that not all failures are self-imposed, the result of ignorance, carelessness or inexperience. It takes a while to grasp that a garden isn't a testing ground for character and to stop asking, what did I do wrong? Maybe nothing.

I'm a believer in 'Ignorance is bliss.'

If ignorance is bliss, then education is heaven sent.
