I'm disappointed for the kids. We didn't wrestle to win, we wrestled not to lose.

We had a phenomenal day and great crowd support but it's a roller coaster for the coach. You feel happy for one kid and want to cry for the next. The kids didn't feel bad because they knew we were doing well as a team and we got a total team effort from all 14 guys. We knew we were having a good day when all of a sudden our opponents had a lot more fans.

I expected we'd win eight weights but we got six. You can talk yourself into or out of anything and these kids talked themselves into this the last two days. The kids persevered and kept plugging, plugging, plugging away so this is a pretty sweet feeling.

I have to give these kids a lot of credit, they never gave up. I want to tell the seniors thank you, and I wish you a good life.

The kids improved a lot on getting stronger and faster. I think we are better than we were last year at this point. We took the kids to camp again this summer and really got a lot done, and it's made a big difference. They understand things, and they are quite a bit better.

Now we have some experience and the kids know what to expect. Our goal this year is to be more competitive.
