I'm excited. I know there is still more in me and I'm going to a program that will work with me. It is going to be a big change, but intimidated? No, not really.

At 5-9, I do have an advantage and have had the privilege of playing the point all four years (of high school). They want me to do that, so that's an advantage because (other) schools wanted me to move to the (No.) 2 (shooting) guard.

They showed a lot of interest early. Some other colleges were pushing me off and waiting it out. This school took a chance on me.

It's an honor. There are a lot of people in this world that want to do it. It's a great honor and I'm thankful for my teammates that have backed me up.

Our division is tough. Mount Vernon plays an amazing defense, so we're going to have to get to the free-throw line and get them into foul trouble.

I worked (for) Coles County for 14 years and typically we'd use millings for shoulder work. I suggested the idea and it took some cooperation between the city, the engineering office, city's street crews and Howell Asphalt to make it happen.
